LET'S POLLUTE --- animated; running time 6 1/2 minutes Click to Follow Let’s Pollute on FACEBOOK The official site: www.letspollute.com SYNOPSIS Animated in the style of 1950s educational films, "Let's Pollute" is a modern social satire on how pollution is our heritage and keeps our economy growing strong. By connecting consumer habits with their corporate allies and the environmental consequences, we are all instructed how to be better polluters for a better blighted tomorrow.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT: Pollution is Personal “Let's Pollute” was a very personal project for me, dealing with a subject matter I'm extremely passionate about. Through humor, the film tackles the serious subject of pollution and waste in a way that is, I hope, accessible to a wide audience. The film acts as a funhouse mirror to our modern lifestyle, inviting viewers to laugh at and perhaps reconsider some of their habits. It raises the question, Will you, and society as a whole, continue down the road of destruction, or take a new path?
AWARDS AND SCREENINGS Let's Pollute has been an Official Selection at many independent film festivals including the prestigious Annecy Animation Festival in June 2010. It took the Best Animated Film at both the Orlando Film Festival and the Big Muddy Film Festival and was a finalist at the USA Film Festival. Let's Pollute made its television debut in France on Canal+ in 2010.
